Editing your Pad
Everything about your Pad is customizable from the + Card menu in the top bar.
The + Card menu holds four items:
- Add card — add a new card to your Pad.
- Card organize — show or hide the built-in cards, and delete cards you have added.
- Layout edit — rearrange where cards sit.
- Button edit — choose which source buttons appear.
+ Card — add a card
Tap + Card → Add card. Pick from AUX output, HyperDeck, Streaming Encoder, and more. New cards appear on your Pad ready to use.

Layout edit
From the + Card menu choose Layout edit. The top bar turns blue to show you are in layout mode.
- Drag any card to move it; cards repack automatically to fill the space.
- The top bar shows Layout done · Reset layout · Cancel.
- Reset layout restores the default arrangement; Cancel discards your changes.
Your layout is saved per model and per device.
Button editing
Default hidden buttons
On ATEM models with many cameras, camera inputs numbered 10 and above are hidden by default — they are hidden by their number.
Internal / system sources are hidden by type, regardless of their number: Black, Color Generators, Color Bars, Masks, Media Player keys, and M/E preview outputs.
On AUX / output cards, only CAM 1–3 and the main M/E (PGM) output are shown by default.
This keeps your Pad clean from the start. You can change any of it at any time.
Using hidden buttons — the “+N” button
When a row has hidden buttons, a gray “+N” button appears at the end of that row. N shows how many buttons are hidden.
- Tap the “+N” button → a popup lists all the hidden buttons in that row.
- Tap any button in the popup → the source switches immediately, and the button flies back into the row.
Tapping from the popup switches the source and restores the button at the same time.
Hiding a button individually — long-press drag
You can hide a single button at any time, without entering edit mode.
- Long-press the button you want to hide (about 0.4 seconds).
- When you feel the haptic feedback, drag mode starts.
- Drag it onto the “+N” button in the same row to hide it.
Button edit mode — bulk editing
To tidy up many buttons at once, use Button edit mode.
From the + Card menu choose Button edit. The top bar turns amber.
- Every source button shows a round + / − badge.
- Tap − to hide a button; tap + to bring a hidden one back.
- The top bar shows Done · Defaults · Cancel.
- Defaults resets all your edits to the original state.
When a reset finishes, the confirmation banner is tinted to match the mode color — amber for button edit, blue for layout.

Button label mode
In Settings › General › Button label you can choose how source buttons are labelled: Label or Label + Name. With Label + Name, each source button shows a small name as sub-text beneath the label, so you can see the full source name at a glance.
