Settings

Open Settings from the navigation — the Settings item in the sidebar (or bottom bar on phones). Everything here is grouped into a few cards.

Device & AUX output

• Device select — pick which ATEM switcher CastPad controls. See the Devices guide for connecting and managing switchers.
• AUX output — choose which source is sent to each AUX output.

Source labels

Tap Source Labels to edit the names shown for your switcher’s sources. The popup has three tabs:

• Input — camera and input sources
• Output — outputs
• Media — media player sources

Each row is one source: a Label (the short box, up to 4 characters) and a Name (the wider box). Edit the boxes, then press Save to push the change to the switcher — it takes effect on the switcher immediately.

Reset is a preview only: it refills the boxes with the switcher’s original names. It does not change the device by itself — you still have to press Save to apply. This two-step design means an accidental Reset never goes straight to the switcher.

Note

Changes you save go to the switcher live, but they are lost on reboot. To keep them permanently, use Save to device below.

Save to device

Save to device stores the switcher’s entire current state — labels, routing, keyers, and everything else — as its boot default (the switcher’s startup state), so it survives a reboot.

CastPad does not upload its own data. It only sends a “save” signal, and the switcher takes a snapshot of its own current state. This is the same action as Save Startup State in ATEM Software Control.

Caution

This overwrites the switcher’s startup state with whatever is on it right now. Confirm the warning before running it. To undo, reconfigure the switcher and save again (for example, in ATEM Software Control).

General

Button label

Choose how source buttons are labelled: Label or Label + Name. With Label + Name, each button shows the full source name as small sub-text under the label.

Language

Switch the interface language: English or 한국어.

Keep screen on

Keep the screen from turning off while CastPad is open. This can use more battery, and the screen still dims after a while.

Animation frame rate

Set how often glide moves are sent to the switcher: Auto (video), 60, 50, 30, 24, 20, or 15 fps. Auto matches the switcher’s video frame rate. See Animation for how glide moves work.

Reset

• Reset layout — restore card placement on every switcher to defaults.
• Reset buttons — restore button show/hide on every switcher to defaults.

Note

These reset all devices. They are different from the per-card Reset / Defaults buttons inside edit mode, which only affect the card you are editing. See Editing your Pad.
